so i had a wonderful weekend. it definitly makes up for the previous weekend. i somehow found a way to have quality me time and quality jon time. how did i managed that i do not know but it was perfect. actually this weekend was all about compromise. we worked so well together we blended like tea and honey.
friday night we went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. it was nice because instead of us deciding together what we were going to do and where we were going to go, he called me at work and asked me on a "date". it was really sweet. sometimes it's nice when someone else makes all the plans. even if it was basically effortless on his part it was nice to just get dressed and be taken out.
we had lots of wine or maybe i should say that i had alot of wine and we just had a genuine good time and enjoyed each others company.
we woke up fairly early on saturday which made me happy. we bummed around all morning and drank coffee and read books and magazines. it was the perfect morning. later on in the day we wandered in and out of stores in montclair. he went into every store with me just because he knew i wanted to go in. then we went to whole foods and got some goods to make later on for dinner.
after we got back home we camped out on the couch for some good ole fashion football. i am so not a football fan or any sports fan for that matter but i was a trooper and watched a shitload of games that night. it actually wasn't that bad. i do have to thank mtv for the real world marathon because jon switched back and forth to maintain my sanity.
i am so happy that i have a boyfriend that cooks and damn good too. we took turns cooking, it was good, he made the appetiser and i made the main dish. he made some very yummy steamed clams with so much garlic it was a good thing we were only kissing each other. and i made a kick ass salad i must say. grilled asparagus sauteed with red wine vinager, onion, red pepper, and mushrooms on a bed of greens. i felt like a chef.
later on we went to see my friend m's band. it was alot of fun.
yesterday i concluded the weekend with my usual lazy sunday but it was a productive lazy day. i wrote letters, cleaned a bit, dyed my hair and staightned it. later on i met up with m and listened to music. he gave me a bunch of cd's and we ate chinese food.
all and all...a fantastic weekend.
