michael. what can i say about michael? he was the kindest sweetest man that i have ever known. he was a true friend. he was no doubt the most brilliant person that i have ever met. i learned so much from him during the hours that he would sit and drink coffee while c or i were working.

i remember hanging out in his basement and getting drunk with him. he incouraged me to go through his cd collection and insisted on me taking a few cd's that he knew i would love. he suprised me one day with a ravi shankar cd. he gave me one of his favorite postcards of allan ginsberg dancing at a grateful dead show. he also gave me a book about albert einstein that i have never opened. that was a birthday present.

he was funny, but i'm not sure he knew that. he had an infectious laugh and a boyish grin. i will never forget what t said about him once...he is like a cat, he sits in the same spot for hours and then just jumps up and leaves immediatly. he said it better but that was the gist.

i wish that i had contacted him. i wish we never lost touch. i will never ever forget him.
