it is kind of crappy out today...well no sunshine anyway. so i don't feel guilty about being home until i have to go to work.

yesterday j and i had a wonderful day together. he didn't have to work yesterday which was a good thing for the both of us since we were a bit hungover. the night before i went into the city with a couple of friends for a night out on the town.

i spent way too much money but i had a good time. we saw 'the vagina monologues'! it was fabulous! i laughed and cried throughout the entire show. we sat in the second row and it was just amazing. and then somehow at the end of the night i ended up with my friends shoes and her with mine. cool sandals...too bad they are too big for me!

so yesterday j and i were going to go to the lake about an hour away. he thought he was going to be doing work there but his boss decided to leave because it started raining. instead we had lunch at the diner and drank lots of coffee. then we went to home depot where i reunited with an old work pal from a year ago. we bought a few household things and a beautiful pot of flowers to keep the basil company on our window sill.

we then went to stapels and bought a pretty cool desk for the computer. we rearranged and reorganized and everything looks great!

and then finally, my father took us out for an amazing night of sushi and wine.

tonight i will not be having any alcoholic beverages because i cannot remember the last day that i have not had any wine. that is very very bad! so after work i will come home and and light a few candles, make some sleepytime tea, and snuggle with my boy and my kitties. it sounds like the perfect night to me.
